13 YouTube Channels to Inspire Your Marketing
We’ve all been there, sitting in whatever you have defined as your office, waiting for the next lead to come in. Perhaps a little anxiety creeps over your shoulder and asks you, “Are you sure you targeted that Facebook ad correctly?”, “Do you think anyone is really going to fill out that form?”
Whatever the case may be it’s easy to lose motivation when a campaign doesn’t take off right away. But lucky for you there are a plethora of resources out there to help you get motivated and gain reassurance on your strategy!
Here are 13 YouTube channels to inspire your marketing (I know they’ve definitely helped me).
1) Hubspot
Right off the bat this is one of my favorite channels. If you ever feel like your inbound marketing strategy isn’t as good as it could be, Hubspot will definitely help shed some light on improvements you could make.
I mean, these guys wrote the book on inbound marketing. You can even take free Hubspot Inbound Marketing courses on their site!
I can honestly say that I took these courses and felt a lot more confident in my inbound digital marketing strategy. Plus you get a cool badge you can boast on your site! And who doesn’t like shameless boasting?
2) Backlinko (Brian Dean)
Hubspot’s channel is awesome, but I am an SEO buff and Brian Dean from Backlinko definitely makes the hardest, yet most rewarding part of SEO look easy.
That’s backlinking. Backlinks to your site from credible sites are Google’s number one ranking factor and even SEO gurus like Neil Patel hold Brian Dean to a high standard when it comes to his methods of getting more quality backlinks.
3) Gary VaynerChuck (GaryVee)
If you’re unfamiliar with Gary VaynerChuck, I highly recommend checking out some of his videos. I personally follow him on LinkedIn. His messages lean more towards the concepts of marketing as well as how to build your brand.
However he is a very motivational and persuasive speaker. Of course he has a more unorthodox method of getting his message out, so viewer discretion is advised. I like to think of him as the marketing pastor that swears in service.
4) Jay Baer
Jay got his start by being a leader in digital marketing with his YouTube series “Jay Today”.
Like Gary, Jay focuses more on the concepts of marketing versus actual applications. He’s currently riding on the success of his book, “Hug Your Haters”, which sounds like an anti-bullying book, but it’s not, I promise.
His insight on taking feedback from not only customers but also employees and higher-ups has landed him loads of guest speaker spots at marketing events across the country.
5) Social Media Examiner
Social Media Examiner has been one of leaders in providing social media solutions to businesses since 2009.
The videos on these channels typically follow two formats:
1) A documentary style where the camera follows Michael Stelzner, founder of Social Media Examiner, around
2) Or a podcast type interview
The videos are a bit longer but definitely cover the biggest news in social media including, tips, best practices, and upcoming events. Definitely check this channel out if you’re looking to become an expert in the next awful SnapChat update…
6) Entrepreneur
Okay look, we both know your marketing strategy can only be inspired so much. Sometimes we just need to be inspired as the entrepreneurs that we are.
Entrepreneur has multiple series’ and if they wanted to could start their own network with their American Pickers-esque video formats. Pick a series (playlist) and start binge watching (we’ve all been practicing for this on Netflix!)
Yes these videos run about 24 – 30 minutes but they’re definitely a great alternative to traditional television if you need need to be inspired as the entrepreneur you are.
With series titles like, “Action & Ambition”, “Ambitious Adventures”, and “Entrepreneur Elevator Pitch” it’s hard to not want to get sucked into these!
7) Neil Patel
Speaking of Entrepreneur; Entrepreneur magazine named Neil Patel the number 1 marketer in the world and has even received rewards from the President of the United States, the House of Representatives, and the United Nations!
Man, I’d love to have that on MY resume…
Not only does Neil have a vast technical knowledge of platforms, tools, and interfaces, he also understands and wrote the book on practical marketing applications. He can speak really technical or practical depending on how you learn best.
Although my favorite thing about his channel is there are no shortage of videos. There are so many they get even as specific as, “How to Drive Traffic to Your Blogs Posts Using LinkedIn” or “Reddit Marketing 101: 5 Steps Ways to Drive a Ton of Free Traffic from Reddit“.
8) Social Triggers
Social Triggers is a YouTube series hosted by the channel and personality of Derek Halpern, and entrepreneur and expert marketer.
This channel has less to do with the technical sense of marketing and more to do with how to sell, be more confident, and even seem more credible and trustworthy with his use of personal experience, case studies, as well as actual research studies.
The best thing about it is a lot of Derek’s lessons in his 5 minute shorts can easily extend into your daily life.
9) Lisa Irby
Lisa Irby is one of those people who seems like your best friend even though you’ve never met her, which makes her videos that much more enjoyable to watch.
She is really there for the small business owner trying to get their business on its feet. She’s also a “proud introvert” which is most likely why I enjoy her videos.
Her channel primarily focuses on SEO best practices and building websites, especially WordPress sites, that both get traffic and provide an income with successful SEO and AdSense practices.
10) Kimberly Ann Jimenez
The reason why I like Kimberly’s channel is because you can learn all the best practices and techniques and tools out there. You can feel like an expert on each topic from watching all of the above YouTube channels, but when it comes time to finally cut your teeth, you might find yourself lacking a plan.
If you know how to deliver a message but are unsure of when or what to say, I’d say definitely give Kimberly Ann Jimenez a watch.

11) Google Analytics
This channel has been a life saver for me. Especially when I was preparing to become Analytics and AdWords certified.
Paraphrasing Peter Drucker, “You can’t manage what you can’t measure.” And Google analytics is one of the best measuring tools out there to gauge how your site, marketing efforts, and content is performing.
Even in my years of experience working within Google Analytics, I still find myself making my way back to the channel to freshen up and even learn some new things I didn’t realize I could do! Although the channel doesn’t post a lot, there is still hours of content on there from practical knowledge, to full study guide courses for the exams.
12) TED Talks
I watch TED Talks everyday.
If you haven’t heard or given this channel a shot, I highly recommend it. TED Talks features a plethora of guest speakers that are leaders in both their industry and the world.
Some of these are inspirational and have actually changed the way I viewed things. This famous video by Simon Sinek on his “Golden Circle” rule not only fundamentally changed the way I look at how I conduct business, but also cracked the code on why people buy what they buy and where they buy it from.
And if you’re looking for a good laugh, check out this video. It’s one of a series of videos from James Veitch featured on TED Talks about email marketing and receiving spam.
